New Archive Release: Last bundle (Demos)

To Beginnings... AND Endings. And the wisdom to know the difference.
-Andrew Packard

Well- here we are at the end. And just as the actual world of TP ended by going back to the beginning with FWWM, the Archive has done the same by going back to the start of Angelo's music; the early demo tracks.

First off though, we get three variations of the FWWM track "Half Heart". These versions were actually recorded for the short-lived Lynch/Frost series "On The Air". They are great to hear, and interesting to see Angelo taking the FWWM track and adapting it to a different project.

And finally, we end the Archive with a collection of Angelo's demos. Ten from the series, and one from FWWM- the demo of Angelo singing "Questions In A World Of Blue". Understandably, these are in a little rougher shape, with a few even ending abruptly. But they are fascinating to hear, as they are the origin of all that was to follow. Especially interesting are the combinations of the "Love Theme" and "Falling".

Simply perfect way to end the most amazing soundtrack release(s) ever.

  1. And so it ends.

    I agree with your assessment. Winding up this epic project in this manner is a perfect ending to a massive undertaking. Who would ever have thought that we'd be able to own such high quality versions of all these tracks? Amazing.

    Your custom covers have made this archive set all the more special. Thank you so very much for taking the time to set up the site and for sharing your very obvious talents. Your last image of Angelo is so spot on perfect I can't believe it.

    Your covers (along with this amazing music) will be a treasure of mine for all time. Thanks again.

  2. Ross

    Thanks for all the hard work over the last year. Any chance you can bundle up your covers in one folder, instead of saving them individually....sad that's it's now all over

    1. Thanks Andee. Good idea on a downloadable bundle of all the covers. I'll try to get to it when I have time.

  3. It isn't over till it's over! I refuse to acknowledge the sad overness when there are so many unreleased tracks. Something's bound to be found :)

    While waiting for the miraculous resurfacing: Ross, are you planning to add the covers for Hidden Track from TP2, Grieg and Glenn Miller? It would be wonderful to have this dreamy collection complete.

    PS Oh, and an alternate for "Rocking Back My Heart" would be quite welcome - current one is very unflattering for poor Julie.

    1. Yes- hopefully there will be a few more tracks released down the road. There are actually quite a few that slipped through the cracks. See the "unreleased" tab. I'll see on the other covers. If I do, they will of course be posted here. Thanks again.

  4. To be perfectly honest, I'm a little bit disappointed with the last release. It's njt about the music, the music is great just as always. But.. you've got this still quite big unreleased list plus some slow versions, and I would like so much to get many of these... but they are not released... Plus, of course, a bunch of sound effects which I wanted most of all. We haven't got these, too. And, I suppose, there is no hope to get them.
    I also would like to ask for a little help if you don't mind. I can't identify some of the tracks. Here are the scenes containing them:
    - the whole scene of Donna visiting the Tremonds;
    - Harry and Cooper dicussing Jean Renault after saving Audrey Horne (plays right before Laura Palmer's Theme);
    - Audrey telling Cooper that he is perfect. This version of DODTM I just can't identify..
    Thank you! And I hope your blog is alive after TP Archive final release!

    1. Yeah- I actually feel the same way. I'm disappointed that its over with so many unreleased tracks out there. I certainly don't want to complain since we got such an abundance of tracks. But of course I wish we were getting everything. Maybe we can hope for a "bonus bundle" sometime down the road. Fingers crossed.

      The Harry/Cooper scene is one of the various "Nerve/Drone Tones" used. I was hoping we'd get these. That particular one I think was only used in that scene. But there were others used many times.

      The Audrey/Cooper scene ends with "DOTDM (Solo Sax)". The reason it sounds different is because it is slowed to half-speed.

      The Tremond scene is White Lodge Rumble- with some added sounds during the creamed corn "magic trick".
